In lieu of World Mental Health Day SP LEO & NP LEO has organized a visit to Institute of Mental Health to raise awareness & fight the stigma against mental health patients

limited to 20 people.

We would be meeting @ Buangkok MRT station @ 1.30pm and proceed to IMH together.

Young Changemakers Conference

National Youth Council is organising the 2nd Young Changemakers Conference on 23 to 24 October 2010, and are calling for student participation from IHLs.

Participants should have a keen interest in serving the community, and must be between 15-20 years old as of 31 Dec 2010.

The 2-day Conference, held at Republic Poly, will consist of the following components:

1) Keynote speeches

2) Workshops - choice of 'Environmentalism', 'Community Development', 'Elderly', 'Disadvantaged', 'Migrant Workers', 'Ex-offenders Support', 'Food redistribution', 'Mental Health', 'Animal Welfare', 'Children'

3) Brainstorming sessions - to come up with project ideas

4) Service-Learning Activities

5) Project Assessment Sessions
