Talk on Volunteerism

There will be a talk on Volunteerism by National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre.

Do you have the passion to champion local social causes? Would you be part of the solution to the many social needs in Singapore?

Volunteering is now easy with Singapore Cares (SG Cares), a new initiative from NVPC that provides flexible volunteer opportunities for the community. SG Cares allows you to volunteer meaningfully as and when you can for a wide variety of causes and activities.

Come and find out how you can apply your volunteering experiences with SG Cares and make a difference in your community! Attend our SG Cares talk to also find out how you can take the lead to join us as a Volunteer Leader.

Leadership with a Heart

Course is conducted by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC)

The SG Cares “Leadership with a Heart” Program is designed based on the concept of Servant Leadership. It aims to instil in our youths and students a heartbeat for the people they are to lead, and the society at large.

The 12 hours program consists of the mainly 3 phases; Soft skills training (classroom-based), shadowing and leading two activities.

Benefits for attending the Program:
• Students get to gain a different perspective of life and society given the interactions with the beneficiaries and Volunteer Host Organisations (VHOs).
• Students get to have real-life experiences in leading groups with followers that may be of higher seniority both in age and job positions.
• Students get to receive a NVPC certificate for the 12-hours training program.

NUS C.A.N Project


Hi Leos, the NUS C.A.N Project is back!

True to its title, it is a special project that urges a Collection in Aid of the Needy. Started in 2004, this is the 7th year the club will be undertaking the project.

Event Date: 17th July 2010

The project will collect canned goods from the public, generating publicity for the event through drives organised in HDB estates. The public will also be encouraged to buy and donate canned food through another drive held in the participating supermarket. These canned food will then be given to beneficiaries, like the elderly and people from the lower income group, who need assistance in fulfilling their basic necessity needs. In addition, Project C.A.N. VII hopes to continue to create and maintain these social connections within our society.

The Leo committee will be going! And We hope that all Leos will join us too!

MY Clean & Paint With Love (Project Love)

MY Clean & Paint With Love (Project Love) is back again this year!


This is a VERY VERY meaningful event!

as the title suggested, we are cleaning and painting.

Event date is on Saturday, 17 April

I participated in it last year, and i thought that this event will really be a life changer for the person/family we are helping.
not only will they be able to have a cleaner environment to leave in, they will also be given basic necessities that they lack of. all this are given by the sponsors of the event!

all equipments will be provided.
